The best time to visit Vietnam largely depends on the region you're planning to explore, as the country has diverse climates. However, the most ideal time for a general visit is typically from February to April, when the weather is relatively mild and pleasant across most regions.

The best time to visit Northern Vietnam (Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Sapa) is October to April During these months, the weather is cooler and more comfortable for sightseeing, especially in cities like Hanoi and the mountain areas like Sapa. Winter (December to February) can be cold, particularly in the northern highlands, so pack accordingly.

The rainy season typically starts in September and lasts until November, especially in Hoi An and Da Nang.
